The win is the first for eight games and the second in 12 in all competitions under Potter, who has lost as many games as he has won (10) during his 27 games at the club since replacing Thomas Tuchel.
After the game, the relieved former Brighton manager graham potter said it was ‘nice to go home with a win’ after the club had gone through a ‘challenging period’ with fans calling for his sacking.
