Liverpool are said to have’started talks’ with Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernandez this month about possible summer transfers.
The Reds have identified the Borussia Dortmund midfielder as their top summer target, while Fernandez has also been linked with a move to Anfield as Jurgen Klopp looks to overhaul his struggling midfield.
Klopp’s side are currently ninth in the Premier League and are desperate for new midfielders, with Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all out of contract in the summer.
According to Foot Mercato, the Liverpool manager has begun talks with both Bellingham and Fernandez as plans for the end of the season are being developed..
Bellingham is expected to leave Dortmund in the summer, with Liverpool the current favourites to sign him, but he will cost more than £100 million.
Meanwhile, Chelsea made a bid for Argentine World Cup winner Fernandez earlier this month, but his £103 million release clause was not met, and Benfica stood firm.
Liverpool’s midfield appears set to be overhauled in the summer, as Klopp is given the opportunity to rebuild his Reds side into the winners they once were..
