Georgina Rodriguez reacted angrily to claims that she and her footballing partner Cristiano Ronaldo were having marital difficulties..
The couple moved to Saudi Arabia after the athlete left Manchester United to play for Al-Nassr ahead of the World Cup.
Rumours of a possible breakup circulated in the Spanish press, with outlets reporting Cristiano was ‘fed up’ with his girlfriend Georgina.
The couple has two children together, and Georgina is an active stepmother to the star’s other children.
Speculation was fueled after a Spanish Tik Toker named Abel Planelles shared news that the famous couple had a huge argument just before taking off on the legendary footballer’s private jet.
The dispute, according to the claims, occurred in the presence of several other people and left Georgina in a state where she refused to speak with any of the plane’s crew.
According to the rumors, she cut off her partner for the journey and would not communicate with him after their argument.
Despite reports that their relationship was on the rocks, Georgina slammed reporters and called out the media on her Instagram Story for making false claims.
Normally one to stay above such rumors and rarely ever making comments on things, the mother posted a photo of a starry night sky and pasted the lyrics from American singer Romeo Santos’s song If I Die over the top.
The words written in Spanish read: ‘The envious invents the rumour, gossip spreads, and the idiot believes it,’ which many took to be her response to the speculation about the state of her romantic life.
Georgina and Cristiano revealed they were expecting twins, with the WAG due on April 18, 2022.
The couple later revealed that one of the two babies had tragically died shortly after the expectant parents welcomed them into the world.
‘It is with deepest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,’ they said at the time.
‘It is the most agonizing pain that any parent can experience.
Only our baby girl’s birth has given us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
