Fabrizio Romano has identified Newcastle United and West Ham United as two clubs interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher..
Gallagher has struggled to find regular playing time at Chelsea in recent years, with his best form coming during a loan spell at Crystal Palace in 2021/22.
The England international returned to Chelsea last season, but he failed to make an impact in the first team, and his future appears to be uncertain this summer.
We’ve already seen plenty of Chelsea transfer news about player departures, and Romano has written about more that could happen this summer, including an update on Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech.
Gallagher appears to be another one to watch, with Newcastle and West Ham fans, though it remains to be seen if they will step up their efforts for him anytime soon..
Conor Gallagher has been on Newcastle’s radar since May,” Romano explained.
“Of course, after signing Sandro Tonali, they are now debating how to spend money in the coming weeks, but Gallagher has always been valued by West Ham and Newcastle.” Ben Jacobs has written about Chelsea’s stance on Gallagher here..
