Celtic could see some key players return this weekend as they prepare to face Rangers on Sunday..
Ange Postecoglou’s side has been without the likes of Reo Hatate and Liel Abada in recent weeks after the pair were sidelined and forced to miss the two rivals’ Premiership clash earlier this month. Hoops fans missed both, but their team still won 3-2 to extend their lead at the top of the league.
The Scottish Cup semi-final this weekend, on the other hand, will be a different kettle of fish, and Celts will need to be at full strength to compete. And Postecoglou hinted that he might welcome back the duo, as well as Jota, who has been absent for a few games recently.
“We’ll see how they go,” the manager said. The main three are Abada, Jota, and Reo. They are scheduled to train all week, so it will all come down to how they perform during that time.
“They will be available if they complete the training week.” Everyone got through the weekend without incident. Only James Forrest is likely to be unavailable for the semi-finals.”
