Arsenal may be prepared to sign both Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice in what would undoubtedly be a massive transfer investment..
According to Fabrizio Romano’s exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, the Gunners are interested in Caicedo but have yet to make a second bid for the 21-year-old Brighton midfielder.
Caicedo will not be cheap, but according to the Telegraph, even if Arsenal does sign the Ecuador international, they would also like to sign Rice from West Ham in the summer.
Rice, according to the report, could cost £70 million or more, while Caicedo, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, could cost around £75 million..
Moises Caicedo’s new agents are still active and doing everything in their power to get a January move. But there is frustration because Brighton are not engaging or providing them or suitors with a specific number. This could mean Arsenal investing up to £145 million in these two players, which would be a significant statement of intent from the north London giants.
Arsenal surprised many fans and pundits by leading the Premier League title race this season, but it appears they’re determined to stay competitive and build a squad capable of competing with Europe’s other big names.
If Arsenal are able to sign Caicedo and Rice, they will undoubtedly form a world-class midfield partnership for many years to come..
