Joao Felix will return to Atletico Madrid when his loan at Chelsea expires, according to KOKE.
The Spanish midfielder believes the attacker will benefit from his game time at Stamford Bridge.
Felix joined the Blues in January for a fee of £10 million and has largely impressed despite a shaky start.
The Portugal international was sent off on his debut against Fulham, but has since played an important role in Chelsea’s recent success.
After a disappointing first half of the season with Atletico, Felix and Matheus Cunha both left for Wolves.
The club was eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage and has lagged behind rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.
But Koke is certain that Felix will return to Spain for the upcoming season.
“They were important players within the team,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“They made the choice to depart.
“Joao and Cunha both transferred. They are individual decisions.
Completely respectable. Joao is getting into the swing of things and gaining confidence for the upcoming season.
“And I wish Cunha the best of luck.”
Chelsea does not have the option to purchase Felix at the end of his loan period.
In England, the 23-year-old has also had to deal with people mispronouncing his name.
He insists his name is pronouncd “Joao Fell-ix”.
When asked what he called his former teammate, Koke replied with laugh.
