“Happy New Year to everyone!” “And it’s off to a great start for me because it means getting back on the field,” the 28-year-old Ivory Coast international wrote on Twitter, alongside photos of himself working out at the gym.
“While 2022 was not an easy year, it did prepare me for all of the new challenges that 2023 will bring.”

Dortmund posted a video message. “I’m finally back,” Haller said. It wasn’t easy, but with your help, it was better and easier, so I’m just hoping to see you in the stadium for some victories.”

Dortmund are sixth in the Bundesliga, nine points behind leaders Bayern Munich, and will resume play on January 22.
